Tiger has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial markets, managing funds in excess of $1.5bn across a diverse range of asset classes.
Prior to joining Hilltop in 2018 as Partner and CFO, Tiger was a Portfolio Manager at GLG Partners (2013-2018), where he was responsible for managing a long/short equity portfolio with a peak value of approx. $650mm. Tiger was a Vice President and then Managing Director at Fortress Investment Management Group (2007-2003) in the Liquid Markets and Private Equity divisions, where he co-founded and managed the Fortress Commodities Fund ($1bn peak value) and advised on investments, working on capital raising and investor communication for the Fortress Transportation & Infrastructure fund (now a $1.5bn public company).
Before Fortress, Tiger was an Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Rubicon Fund Management (2004-2007), a leading global macro fund, where he specialised in direct, structured investments in early-stage companies. Tiger started his career at Credit Suisse First Boston in 1999 in the Investment Banking division, where he focused on M&A advisory and capital raising in Europe and the U.S. Tiger has a B.A. in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Bowdoin College. During his studies, he was granted a paid research fellowship in experimental economics.
